Three of the top four teams played on Sunday with the biggest game was between Manchester City and Liverpool. Whilst the result was 1-1 the score could have been 5-5 with both teams attacking, but failing to convert their chances. Milner conerted a penalty for Liverpool in the 51st minute with Aguero equalising in the 69th minute. A great game to watch.
Tottenham Hotspurs(Spurs) held their second in the League place after a hard fought win against Southampton. Eriksen (14′ minutes) and Alli (33′ minutes pen) scored for Spurs before Ward-Prowse (52′ minutes) pulled one back for Southampton.
Second but one in the League, Middlesborough, sacked their manager 4 days ago, and this did little to improve their form. After going two goals behind to Manchester United’s Fellaini (30′ minutes) and Lingard (62′ minutes), they did show spirit and fight back to get a goal. Their hopes were ended when goalkeeper Valdes slipped to allow Valencia to seal the game 3-1 to Manchester United.
Chelsea remain top of the table with Spurs remaining in second place.
