There were no changes at the top or the bottom of the Premier League with Chelsea continuing to lead the race, although they lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace. Palace has improved since the introduction of their new manager big Sam Allardyce. A manager with a history of saving teams from relegation.

Sunderland remain at the bottom of the table having lost 1-0 at Watford and their hopes of staying in the Premier League fade as each week goes by. Surely they cannot produce another miracle this season!

In the big derby game between Liverpool and Everton the home team, Liverpool, won 3-1 with a convincing display.

Tottenham continue their great run of form with a fourth win in a row at Burnley where they won 2-0.

Both the Manchester clubs drew, with Manchester United drawing 0-0 with West Brom. It was incredible how United were unable to score having created so many chances – the West Brom goalkeeper had an exceptionally good game. Manchester City drew 2-2 at Arsenal.

In the other derby game, Southampton and AFC Bournemouth drew 0-0 with Bournemouth missing a penalty.

Leicester’s continued improvement in form continued with a 2-0 home win over Stoke.

Hull continue their fight to remain in the Premier League with a 2-1 win against West Ham, who continue their slide down the table.

The big clash at the bottom of the table on Sunday between Swansea City and Middlesborough ended in a 0-0 draw.

With only a few weeks left this season there is still a lot to play for with many teams still trying to avoid relegation and others fighting for the top spot which Chelsea look like holding on to, even after a weekend defeat.
