Bournemouth 0 – 2 Watford

AFC Bournemouth

Another poor display from the Cherries (AFC Bournemouth) saw them lose to Watford at home. Neither team created many chances and the lack of invention in the two games so far this season is worrying. Whilst Bournemouth are able to dominate the games in terms of possession, they are not creating goal scoring opportunities.

Watford scored through a scrappy goal by their 20 year old Brazilian Richarlison after 73 minutes and this was followed up by an unstoppable strike from the Watford substitute Capoue after 86 minutes. Probably a deserved win by Watford. A really disappointing performance and result for all Bournemouth fans.

The Cherries will play against Birmingham City away in the English Football League Cup. This will be a chance for Eddie Howe, the Bournemouth manager to try out some different players. Only Ake the 20 million pound signing has really been outstanding in the two games this season. All the other players need to raise their game.
