Cherries lose to Saints

AFC Bournemouth lost the local derby after under performing. The Saints won the game 2-1 with two goals from Tadic. A quick counter attack from Southampton and terrible defending from the Cherries let in Tadic for his first after 25 minutes.

Bournemouth scored through King in added time at the end of the first half to mean that it was all even at half-time.

Saints came out the stronger in the second half and Tadic scored again in the 54th minute. Both teams created some half chances before Ryan Fraser almost equalised for the Cherries in stoppage time. His effort was valiantly saved by the Saints keeper McArthy.

Saints are in a relegation dog fight and this win gives them a hope.

Pre-match pub was the Guide Dog with a good selection of reasonably priced beer.
