Arsenal played very well and deserved the 2-1 win against Chelsea to lift the FA Cup for a record breaking 13th time, the 7th time under manager Arsene Wenger.

Chelsea had some into the game as firm favourites, particularly as Arsenal had many defenders injured. They took a risk and played German defender Per Mertesacker who had only 37 minutes playing time this season. He had an outstanding game and this was possibly Arsenal’s best overall performance of the season.

Sanchez scored his 30th goal of the season(in all competitions) and all Arsenal fans will hope that he does not leave them now the season is over. Arsenal worked hard throughout the game and their task was made a little easier when the Chelsea player, Moses, was given a second yellow card for diving in the 68th minute. They did manage an equaliser through Costa in the 76th minute, but the winning goal from Ramsay came just 3 minutes later. A great and much deserved win for Arsenal.

Speculation around the future of Arsene Wenger continues and what ever happens he can always hold his head up high when his team’s record in the FA Cup is considered.
