England secured their place with a 1-0 victory against Slovenia at Wembley Stadium. The turgid game was brought to life in injury time when Harry Kane scored and confirmed England’s place in the World Cup 2018 which will be hosted by Russia.
England will have to play much better than this if they are are to advance very far at the World Cup.
