A fine 1-0 win at Chelsea saw the Cherries finally win after losing 5 games in a row. AFC Bournemouth with 9 players injured were set up quite defensively and they held their discipline to the end. Chelsea dominated possession, but the Cherries had the better chances to score and finally did so in the 84th minute when Gosling cleverly hooked the ball over the Chelsea keeper from a few yards out. Originally the goal was not given because it was deemed to be offside, but the VAR clearly showed that Gosling was onside and the goal was given. It was a truly spirited performance by the Cherries with every player putting in a solid performance.
