Bournemouth came back after being 2 goals down against Newcastle to snatch a draw. The Cherries first half display was very poor and two weak pieces of goalkeeping from Begovic in the first half allowed Newctastle’s Gayle to score in the 17th and 45th minute.
In the second half the Cherries showed more endeavour and manager Eddie Howe’s substitutions made a positive impact on the game. Newcastle’s Dubravka made a stunning one handed save in the 75th minute before substitute Smith scored a screamer and in the 89th minute former Newcastle player, Dan Gosling scored the equaliser. The Cherries continued to pile on the pressure in the added minutes, but could not find the net again.
Newcastle will be upset that they did not take their chances to add to their 2 goal lead and allowed the Cherries to come back for a point. great spirit from the Cherries, although they need to start in the 1st minute not the 46th!
