Cherries good for a draw at Leicester

AFC Bournemouth

The Cherries left Leicester with a point after Mahrez scored in the 97th minute for the home team. Bournemouth went ahead when King converted a penalty in the 35th minute and should have had a second penalty in the second half when Charlie Daniels was pushed over in the box. It is incredible that the match officials did not see the push and the penalty would have potentially taken the game to 2-0.

Leicester piled on the pressure after this incident and resolute Cherries defending kept them out until they gave away a free kick in the 97th minute which was very cleverly converted by Leicester’s Mahrez. The match officials were supposed to only be allowing 4 extra minutes and the goal came after 7. A bitter end to the match for the Cherries, although they can be happy with a point away at Leicester.
