After thrashing Brighton last weekend the Cherries under performed against relegated Fulham and lost to a Mitrovic penalty in the 53rd minute.
AFC Bournemouth started very well and they should have scored through King who missed an easy chance and Fraser had a shot saved well by Fulham keeper Rico. Other chances were not taken and the momentum was lost when Stanislas went off injured. The Bournemouth defence was not very cohesive and this restricted their ability to play our effectively from the back.
Simpson fouled Mitrovic in the 53rd minute and he went on to score from the spot. The Cherries found it hard to get going and Fulham created other chances and could have won by more.
A disappointing performance to celebrate Eddie Howe’s 500th game as a manager.
