Liverpool away match – pubs and sightseeing

AFC Bournemouth

Liverpool is one of England’s most historic cities and also hosts 2 Premier League teams – Everton and Liverpool. Success has been limited in the last few years for both clubs, although Liverpool have won 18 League titles in England. They are currently fighting for a place for a Champions League spot.

The population of Liverpool is approximately 465,000 and is situated in the north-west of England, about a 5 hour drive from Bournemouth.

Liverpool, pub

It is estimated that there are 232 pubs in the city and several of them were enjoyed by my brother when he went to see Bournemouth get a 2-2 draw on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Having a night kick off like this meant taking some time off work, travelling to the match, drinking some beer and doing some sightseeing.

Liverpool is a port city and became one of England’s premier cities based on trade through the port.

home to the Beatles

Liverpool is also the home to the Beatles and tourism has largely replaced the importance of trade through the port.

With so many pubs the beer situation is very good!
