Cherries grab 3 more points

AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth came from behind to take the three points against the bottom placed club West Bromwich Albion (WBA). In one of their worst performances of the season the Cherries did not really get started until half way through the second half. The two teams were equally poor in the first half which was quite a dire spectacle.

The game did come alive in the 49th minute when poor Cherries defending allowed a cross to come in which was headed down by Rondon to Rodrigues who turned and scored. At this point the Cherries started to move the ball a little faster and by the mid point of the second half were working hard, winning ball and moving it around well.

Ibe, who had been fairly quiet for the most of the match for Bournemouth, cut in from the left wing in the 77th minute and drove towards the WBA penalty area and then drilled the ball from 25 yards past the WBA keeper, Foster. Stanislas who had come quite close from earlier free kicks then struck a perfect free kick from just outside the box into the net.

The game was almost a draw when Charlie Daniels scrambled the ball off the line in the 7th minute of stoppage time. The win means the Cherries are one step closer to retaining their Premiership status and WBA are almost certainly doomed to relegation.
