The Guide Dog pub (https://www.facebook.com/TheGuideDog/) is a nice little real ale pub about 15 minutes walk away from St. Marys Stadium where Southampton play.
They have a great variety of beers and the prices are reasonable – 3 quid a pint.
The first beer to be sampled was the Flowerpots bitter and was very good. More details about the brewery can be found here www.flowerpotscheriton.co.uk
The second beer was Red Cat Mr. M’s porter which was served in a Dark Star glass and a little sweet.
The last beer was a novelty beer – the green beer Stonehenge Sign of Spring was an unusual looking beer which was not that tasty. This is brewed by www.stonehengeales.co.uk
The pub itself was full of Southampton fans who were spilling on to the streets.
