Sunderland became the first team to get relegated from the Premier League this season as they lost at home 1-0 to Bournemouth.
Sunderland is a depressed industrial city in the north-east of England whose team are adored by their passionate fans, who have been letting them down for a number of years and the relegation on April 29 was no surprise. They have played very badly all season and it is time for the club’s owners to reflect on what they need to do to make the Sunderland team great again. The owner’s have not invested much in the team compared to other clubs and this has been reflected in their results. The Manager’s door is like a revolving door with changes of managers happening all too often. They need to think long term and have a vision to realise rather than try and patch things up.
Sunderland is somewhat of a depressed town and because money is tight it means that the pre-match beers are not so expensive.
