Bournemouth lost 2-0, but had a clear penalty not given when they were losing 1-0.
The Cherries came out fast and pressed United who did not look the team that were in second position in the League. United did look solid and scored from their chances with Smalling netting after 28 minutes and then substitute Lukakau making it two on the 70th minute.
A penalty should have been given to Bournemouth when Wilson was fouled when he was about to score from a King cross. The score was 1-0 at that point and could have changed the game.
Bournemouth are still not completely safe from relegation and have three games left to play. It would be reassuring for them to pick up some more points. The next game is the Soouth Coast derby against Southampton who are desperate for points as they face the drop.
