AFCB lost their first match of the season away at unbeaten Chelsea by 2-0. The Cherries played well and whilst they had significantly less possession than Chelsea also had some great chances to score at key moments in the match.
Both Wilson and Aké had fine chances to score – Wilson from a clinical cross from debutant Rico and Aké scooped over from 2 yards out from a corner. Bournemouth were to rue these misses when Pedro scored with a deflected shot from the edge of the box in the 72nd minute and then Hazard finished the game off in the 85th minute.
The result was probably a fair one.
