The Cherries terrible away record continues with a 5-1 defeat at Arsenal who are now in the top four. The game started badly for Bournemouth when they went 1-0 down from an Ozil goal after 4 minutes. The lead was doubled in the 27th minute after a give away pass from Smith finally saw the ball put away by Mkhitariyan. Bournemouth did pull one back from Mousset in the 30th minute and went into the break only 2-1 down.
The chances of a Cherries comeback in the second half were reduced when they conceded after only two minutes to a Koscielny goal. They almost got lucky when Gosling hit the bar, but goals from Aubameyang and Lacazette finished the game off with the final result being 5-1. Admittedly Bournemouth had many players out through injury, but the team did play very badly.
