A result which was not unexpected based on current form. The Cherries have now lost 8 consecutive away games which is their worst showing for 25 years.
The first chance of the game did come to Bournemouth when Fraser tested the Liverpool keeper. Liverpool then started to dominate and scored first through a strong header from Mané, who looked offside, in the 24th minute and this was followed up by a fine ‘lob’ finish by Wijnaldum in the 34th minute.
Liverpool scored a fine third goal in the 48th minute when Firmino back heeled the ball in to the path of Salah who finished with aplomb.
The Cherries have two weeks off before their next game and hopefully this time will allow for some of the injured players to recover.
