The Cherries got back to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 victory against West Ham at home. Nathan Ake thought that he had opened the scoring, but the goal was disallowed because Callum Wilson was deemed to be offside. The Cherries also created other chances including Brooks heading wide at the far post.
Carroll could have opened the scoring for West Ham, but blasted over from close range. The Cherries broke out of defence in the 53rd minute and Fraser’s drive down the wing and his deflected cross bobbled through to Wilson who smashed a half volley in from 25 yards out.
Wilson came close to scoring his second, but his shot bounced off the post. The game was sealed in the 91st minute when Brooks fed a perfectly weighted pass through to Joshua King who put the ball in the net from 15 yards out.
A competent performance for the Cherries against an in form West Ham.
