AFC Bournemouth won their first game of the season by coming from a goal down to win 2-1 against Brighton. It was a tight match with Brighton focusing on defence and making it difficult for the Cherries to score.
There were no goals in the fist half and Brighton took the lead through a Solly March header in the 55th minute. The game changed when Jordan Ibe came on for Bournemouth and cleverly back healed to Surman who calmly put the ball in to the goal to make it 1-1 in the 67th minute.
The game was won by Defoe who scored the winner in the 73rd minute. Hopefully, this result will give some confidence for the Cherries to build on.
