The Cherries lost 2-1 at Sheffield United, despite taking the lead and dominating the first half. Bournemouth started well and created chances before Callum Wilson blasted home from 8 yards out after only 13 minutes.
The Cherries continued to play neat attacking football for first most of the first half, but succumbed to a scrappy Sheffield United goal in first half injury time. It was a bitter blow for Bournemouth who had neglected to build on their one goal lead.
Sheffield United had the better of the second half, but the Cherries looked relatively solid in defence until the 84th minute when poor marking allowed a cross to come into United substitute Lundstram who neatly finished.
A draw would have been a fair result and would have been a good result for the Cherries, but this defeat leaves in serious relegation trouble.
