AFC Bournemouth scored in the second minute and never looked back as they cruised to a 4-0 win. Joshua King’s rich vein of form continued when he scored from close range after only 96 seconds. Benik Afobe added another goal after 16 minutes and the Cherries were on their way to a wonderful start.
Their task was aided by the Middlesborough centre-forward Ramirez who was sent off after 20 minutes for a second yellow card. His first yellow card was for diving and the second for a reckless tackle. Really stupid decision making on his part and a deserved sending off.
Man of the Match, and playing his 250th game for Bournemouth, Marc Pugh cut inside his man in the penalty box and struck the ball into the net for the 3rd goal in the 65th minute. Then a cleverly worked free kick saw Charlie Daniels notch the 4th goal from the edge of the penalty box.
An easy win and Middlesborough look destined to go down. The Cherries move closer to staying in the Premier League next season.
