Wayne Rooney became only the second player to ever reach 200 Premier League goals, but he still has a long way to go to catch up with Alan Shearer who holds the record with 260 goals in only 441 appearances. Rooney has taken 462 games to achieve his 200 goals. Shearer is long retired and so there is still a slim chance that Rooney could surpass Shearer’s staggering 260 goals.
