England has thousands of pubs and a great variety of beer. Real ale has become more popular again in the last 20 years and across the country there are thousands of pubs who specialise selling real ale. These pubs take care of the beer and are often very traditional.
Unfortunately, Bournemouth is one of the worst cities in England to find good pubs. One of the best is The Cricketeers Arms which is the pre-match pub which I go to when I go to home games. It is the regular pre-match pub for my brother and nephew.
The pub is found about 15 minutes walk away from Dean Court (the Vitality Stadium), Bournemouth’s home ground. The pub is very traditional with a fine range of real ales and many original features. The welcome is warm and the beer is good.
One of the original features which still exist are the traditional male toilets.
