AFC Bournemouth came from behind to beat Stoke City 2-1 and continue their fine run of form. The Cherries started poorly and Stoke deserved to be 1 goal up at half time. Their goal in the 5th minute came from a cross from debutant Badou Ndiaye which was headed in by Shaqiri. Stoke were physically stronger than Bournemouth throughout the first half, but this was not the case during the second period.
Bournemouth’s lack of intensity in the first half was not extended to the second half and the half time team talk by Cherries manager Eddie Howe got them to increase their intensity. It was no surprise when the Cherries scored their equaliser through Joshua King in the 70th minute and their deserved second came in the 79th minute from a Mousset header at the back post. It was his first goal in the Premier League after 23 matches played. Stoke will be very frustrated to concede the Mousset goal which came from a free kick because they are a much bigger team physically.
Whilst Bournemouth did not play well in the first half they did deserve the win overall.
