AFC Bournemouth produced arguably their best result ever in the English Premier League with a demolition of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Three goals in the second half in less than 20 minutes did the job for them. This was one of Cherries manager’s finest moments in football as he tactically outplayed the Chelsea manager Conte.
Bournemouth defended aggressively and attacked fluidly throughout the 90 minutes. Every player had a good game and played to the game plan set down by their manager. Callum Wilson was put through by Jordon Ibe in the 51st minute and calmly put the ball away. The lead was doubled in the 64th minute when smooth interplay between Wilson and Stanislas allowed the latter to slot the ball under the Chelsea keeper. The Cherries continued to put on the pressure and in the 67th minute when Stanislas shot was turned in by Ake.
A great day for Eddie Howe, the team and all supporters of the Cherries. Not many would have bet on this result, but it proved to be a comfortable win for the team from the south coast.
