AFC Bournemouth travelled to Brighton and thrashed Brighton 5-0 in a perfectly executed game plan with 5 different scorers. The score could have been 10.
The Cherries took the lead after 33 minutes through a Gosling shot which came after smart passing by Bournemouth. The second goal from Bournemouth came from ‘Man of the Match’ Ryan Fraser in the 55th minute. Brighton were down to 10 men when Knockaert was sent off in the 68th minute for a reckless challenge on Smith.
Fraser then made important contributions to the next goals which came from Brooks and Wilson in the 74th and 82nd minute respectively. The icing on the cake came from Stanislas in the 92nd minute when the substitute came on to make it 5.
This was an exceptional away performance after a very poor run on the road for the Cherries.
