This was the worst performance of the season from the Cherries, but the 4-0 scoreline against Burnley did not accurately reflect the game. Bournemouth had several chances in the first half, including Aké hitting the bar, Hart having to save from Brooks and Wilson narrowly failing to connect to a cross.
Poor defending by Bournemouth in both the 39th and 41st minute see Burnley go into the half-time 2-0. The Cherries completely dominated the second half although could not create as many chances as they would typically make in a game. Burnley held on until the 83rd minute before striking again through Barnes to make it 3-0 and their win was sealed in the 88th minute when he scored again.
Not a great game and definitely the weakest performance by the Cherries for many games.
