The Cherries lost 1-0 at home to Manchester City in a game where they ‘parked the bus’. Bournemouth played with a very defensive line up and allowed City to attack them throughout most of the game. This did not make for an entertaining football match, but given recent defensive performances almost paid off.
Man City scored the only goal of the game in the 55th minute when Mahrez drilled home from close in. Cherries keeper Boruc could arguably have done better, but did redeem himself by making some spectacular saves.
The Cherries did not have any shots or corners throughout the game. They will definitely be set up in a more positive way when they play next at Huddersfield!
