Cherries beat the toffees 3-1

AFC Bournemouth

The Cherries won their first home game of the season with a brace from Callum Wilson and one for Fraser.  Bournemouth opened the scoring after 23 minutes with a close range header by Wilson.  The lead lasted until the 44th minute when Calvert-Lewin headed home from close range, although it looked like he was climbing on Bournemouth defender Cook.

The Cherries started the second half slowly until Fraser came on and scored in the 67th minute from a low free kick which looked like it came off Everton’s Fabien Delph.  The game was won when Wilson scored from the edge of the box after 72 minutes.

The overall team performance was very solid from Bournemouth today with the Cherries fielding their youngest ever team to play in the English Premier League.
