It only took a few minutes for the Cherries to get started and by half time they were in complete control. Man of the match ‘wee man’ Ryan Fraser should have been awarded a penalty, but the he opened the scorer after 19 minutes with a curling shot which beat Schmeichel the Leicester keeper.
Wilson then cleverly allowed the ball to go over him and then an exact pass to the ‘wee man’ allowed him to get his second.
King and Wilson gave the Leicester defenders a torrid time and both of them could have been red carded. In the end it was only Morgan who was sent off in the 69th minute. At that point the Cherries had made it 3-0 with a King penalty after Perriera had handled inside the area after 41 minutes.
The Cherries remained dominant and added to the score when the ‘wee man’ steamed down the wing and pulled the ball back for Smith to score.
Leicester pulled two late goals back after Rico stupidly gave away a penalty in the 88th minute which was finished by Leicester’s best player, James Maddison, and then Albrighton headed one home in the 89th minute.
A great performance by Bournemouth and until the last couple of minutes completely controlled all aspects of the game.
