Whilst the Cherries dominated possession throughout the game their concentration lapsed twice and conceded two goals. The first goal came after only 5 minutes from a Bobby Reid penalty which was awarded after Cook had mindlessly hand balled a cross.
The second Cardiff goal came in the first minute of the second half when Reid beat the offside trap to make it two.
Whilst the Cherries did dominate possession they lacked creativity and this lack of imagination restricted their goal scoring opportunities. A game best forgotten for Cherries fans.
