AFC Bournemouth comfortably beat Middlesborough 3-1 to move through to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup. Simpson started the scoring for Bournemouth when he scored from a volley in the 49th minute. The lead did not last a long time before Tavernier scored after a strong run from Traoré.
Bouremouth regained the lead when Callum Wilson, playing his first game since January, scored from the penalty spot after Simpson was fouled.
Afobé sealed the victory in the 83rd minute when Afobé marked from close range.
A comfortable win and many highlights for Bournemouth; debutant Simpson played well and scored as well as winning a penalty, Callum Wilson played his first game for 10 months and the overall team performance was solid. Much to be happy about!
