Cherries lose to Wolves

The Cherries went down 2-1 to Wolves after an abysmal first half in which they played terribly, conceded 2 and had Simon Francis sent off.   Wolves went in front from a sublime free kick scored by Moutinho in the 21st minute and the score was doubled by their lethal Mexican striker Jimenez in the 31st minute.  The Cherries were down to 10 men when Francis was sent off in the 37th minute for his second yellow card offence.  It was a terrible first half by Bournemouth.

To their credit the Cherries came out in the second half and really made a game of it.  Lerma came on in the second half along with Danjuma for the Cherries and they made a huge difference with Lerma arguably the man of the match, even though he only played a half.

Steve Cook headed home in the 59th minute and the Cherries poured on the pressure and Aké could have had the equaliser, but his shot from 8 yards out was well saved by the Wolves keeper.

Cherries boss, Eddie Howe, will have some decisions to make about his selection next week and it looks he will also need to revitalise the squad in the January transfer window if he can.
