There cannot be many worse games to watch this season. I sincerely hope not. Bournemouth did not play very well against a typically gritty West Bromwich Albion (WBA) team, although a draw would have been a fairer result.
Bournemouth travelled to West Brom, which is in the West Midlands, north-west of Birmingham hoping that they could start the season with a win. They never really got started and although they had 71% of the possession could not create many real goal scoring opportunities.
The West Brom goal came after 31 minutes from a header from newly signed Egyptian defender Hegazi. Bournemouth were poor defending at set pieces and the Bournemouth keeper, Begovic, should have come for the cross which Hegazi scored from.
Let’s hope that this is as bad as it gets this season. Next week Watford at home!
